I have been fishing the Northern California and Oregon lakes and rivers my entire life. I deck handed and learned from many of the best fishing guides here in Northern California (my father included) and for that I will be forever grateful for the on the water training I have received. I became a full time fishing guide in California and received my US Coast Guard Captains license at the age of 18. I currently guide in Oregon, California and Alaska.

I have always known fishing would be my career of choice  because when you love what you do it's not a job it's a passion. Being on the water nearly every day for the past ten years has given me the chance to hone my skills which in turn will give my clients the best chance at catching fish. 

​  I like to provide an easy going guided fishing trip, where I will teach  different techniques to target the fish we are fishing for, whether it be King Salmon, Striped Bass, Winter Steelhead or American Shad. I  look forward to sharing my passion for fishing with you. ​
You will be fishing out of a spacious 24' Willie Jet Boat or a custom designed 17" Willie Drift boat.
WHAT TO BRING

  • A VALID FISHING LICENSE  w/ appropriate tags - without one you cannot fish.
  • Sunscreen, hat and sunglasses, layered clothing -  it can be colder in the mornings.
  • Lunch and beverages, pack what you need for a 6-8 hour day in a smaller cooler
  • A larger cooler to keep in your vehicle to take your catch home.
  • For kids younger than 13 please bring your own life jacket.​

​Ryan Tripp's Guide Service provides all the fishing gear and tackle for your day's adventure. After the day is over Ryan will process your fish and package it, so all you have to do is put it in the cooler and head home.
